with Compassion and Accountability

BendUnites is a citizen action group focused on Bend’s homeless-related policies, programs, and other community-related issues. We are a grassroots, non-partisan, open-minded, common sense, results-oriented group. We want to galvanize a movement for positive change and believe the best solutions come from dialog and appreciation of differing views.

We will strive to educate the public with facts and push for solutions. Those who are experiencing homelessness need a hand-up, not just a handout. All people should be empowered and not enabled. They should be helped with compassion AND accountability.

We expect viable sound solutions from local officials with plans considering the community as a whole. We demand our elected officials and government agencies be transparent, truthful, willing to hear all residents of our community and for them to act on their constituents’ appeals.

Partner with local officials to be a community-based sounding board, providing feedback around homeless policy and support services.
